Season three of “What We Do in the Shadows” premieres on September 2 on FX and will be available the next day on Hulu. The popular series is an adaptation of the 2014 film of the same name directed by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement.
The show features four vampires living together on Staten Island and attempting to navigate modern-day interactions like Super Bowl parties, ominous chain emails, and outings to a nightclub. Blending elements of horror and comedy, “What We Do in the Shadows” is shot in a mockumentary style.
The show’s dry, vampiric humor garnered a cult following with viewers, and FX announced that “What We Do in the Shadows” is already renewed for a fourth season. The first two seasons of the show are certified fresh on review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. Early critic reviews are in for the third season, and it currently holds a “100% Fresh” rating.
